What it means
The item gross price (BT-148), meaning the unit price before a price discount, must not be negative. Here, gross does not mean including VAT.
Typical causes
- A return was entered with a negative price before discount
- A discount was stored as a negative gross price
How to fix it
- Check the item’s price before discount
- Use a non-negative gross price and record any price discount separately
- Handle returns through the appropriate invoice or credit note workflow and validate again
What the rule says (technical)
The Item gross price (BT-148) shall NOT be negative.
Use a positive gross price; express discounts as price allowances.
