What it means
Payment instructions must specify the payment method using a code (BT-81). The instructions are present, but that code is missing.
Typical causes
- Bank details were entered without a payment method
- The payment method is printed but not exported as a code
How to fix it
- Select the intended payment method in the invoice settings.
- Ask your provider to include its payment means code in the electronic invoice.
What the rule says (technical)
A Payment instruction (BG-16) shall specify the Payment means type code (BT-81).
Add cbc:PaymentMeansCode, e.g. 58 for SEPA credit transfer or 30 for credit transfer.
