VAT totals have opposite signs
ErrorPeppol BIS 3.0BT-110BT-111
Also available in:NederlandsFrançais
What it means
The VAT total in invoice currency and the VAT total in accounting currency must have the same sign. Currency conversion must not turn a charge into a credit or vice versa.
Typical causes
- Currency conversion reversed the sign.
- A credit note total was copied with the wrong sign.
How to fix it
- Check the VAT total and whether it represents a charge or credit.
- Correct the converted VAT total so its sign agrees.
- Check the exchange-rate calculation before exporting again.
What the rule says (technical)
Invoice total VAT amount and Invoice total VAT amount in accounting currency MUST have the same operational sign.
