How to send e-invoices from Lexware Office
File export onlyXRechnungZUGFeRDLexware · 🇩🇪
Lexware Office creates XRechnung XML and ZUGFeRD invoices. The documented workflow concerns creating and sending those files; it does not establish native Peppol network delivery.
Before you start
- Use version M or higher for electronic invoice creation.
- Have an administrator activate the electronic invoicing function.
- Enter the company’s tax number or VAT identification number.
- Use a company contact and obtain the additional XRechnung recipient details.
Step by step
- 1Activate the feature under Einstellungen > E-Rechnung.
- 2Check tax identification under Allgemeine Einstellungen.
- 3Create an invoice for a company contact.
- 4Enter invoice lines with positive prices.
- 5For XRechnung, complete the Leitweg-ID, supplier number and required bank details.
- 6Create the required electronic invoice format and deliver the generated file through the recipient’s accepted channel.
Why invoices from Lexware Office get rejected
- A private-person contact cannot be used for the documented electronic invoice creation.
- XRechnung creation requires the additional Leitweg-ID and supplier number described by Lexware.
- Every invoice position must have a positive price.
- Missing required data can prevent creation of the intended electronic invoice; check the resulting format.
Good to know
- File creation and direct sending do not establish a Peppol connection.
