What it means
The file is not correctly structured XML, so the validator cannot read the invoice.
Typical causes
- The export was cut short
- A name or description contains an incorrectly encoded special character
How to fix it
- Export the invoice again from your software
- If it still fails, ask your provider to repair the XML at the reported location

What the rule says (technical)
The file must be well-formed XML: every element closed, attributes quoted and only one root element.
Open the file at the reported line. Typical causes are an unclosed tag, an unescaped '&' (write &) or text pasted outside the root element.
