Invoice profile contains too little detail

What it means

This warning means the Factur-X or ZUGFeRD file uses MINIMUM or BASIC WL. These profiles omit invoice lines and do not meet EN 16931; this warning alone does not mean the file was rejected.

Typical causes

  • The software defaults to a minimal export profile
  • A summary-only profile was selected

How to fix it

  1. Choose BASIC, EN 16931 (Comfort) or EXTENDED in the export settings
  2. Export again and check that the profile meets your buyer’s requirements
What the rule says (technical)

Factur-X / ZUGFeRD MINIMUM and BASIC WL profiles do not carry line items and are not valid EN 16931 invoices.

Export the invoice with the BASIC, EN 16931 (Comfort) or EXTENDED profile if your buyer needs a compliant e-invoice — Germany does not accept MINIMUM or BASIC WL as e-invoices.
