PEPPOL-COMMON-R040
GLN format or check digit is invalid
ErrorPeppol BIS 3.0BT-34BT-49BT-29
Also available in:NederlandsFrançais
What it means
A Global Location Number (GLN) must contain 13 digits and a valid check digit. The number supplied does not meet that requirement.
Typical causes
- A digit was mistyped or omitted.
- Another business identifier was entered in a GLN field.
How to fix it
- Confirm the GLN with the relevant business or GS1 organisation.
- Enter all 13 digits, including any leading zeros.
- If it is another identifier, select its correct identifier scheme instead of labelling it as a GLN.
What the rule says (technical)
GLN must have a valid format according to GS1 rules (13 digits with a valid check digit).
Check the Global Location Number with your GS1 member organisation.
