Add the buyer’s electronic address

What it means

The invoice must include the buyer’s electronic address for e-invoice delivery. A postal address or ordinary email address does not replace this Peppol identifier.

Typical causes

  • The customer’s Peppol details are missing.
  • The electronic address was not included in the export.

How to fix it

  1. Ask the customer or your provider for the correct electronic address and address type.
  2. Enter them in the customer’s e-invoicing settings.
  3. Have the export include the buyer’s cbc:EndpointID and schemeID.

What the rule says (technical)

Buyer electronic address MUST be provided.

Add cbc:EndpointID with schemeID to the customer party — it is the buyer's Peppol participant ID.
