VAT identifiers conflict with outside-scope treatment
ErrorEN 16931BT-31BT-48BT-63
Also available in:NederlandsFrançais
What it means
An invoice containing an outside-scope line (O) must not contain VAT identifiers for the seller, seller’s tax representative or buyer.
Typical causes
- VAT numbers are added automatically from party records.
- Outside-scope treatment was selected by mistake.
How to fix it
- Confirm whether the supply is outside the scope of VAT.
- If so, omit those VAT identifiers from this invoice, not from your master records.
- Otherwise, select the correct VAT category.
What the rule says (technical)
An Invoice that contains a line where the VAT category code is 'Not subject to VAT' shall not contain the Seller VAT identifier, the Seller tax representative VAT identifier or the Buyer VAT identifier.
Remove the VAT identifiers, or use another VAT category if the supply is in scope of VAT.
